I'm 27 and have recently noticed a change of colour on my breast. Pinkish purple, around the nipple and the right hand side. Have also had a feeling of heaviness in that breast for some time, although I can't say I've noticed a difference in size. Right armpit also aches. Went for a breast exam yesterday and GP said one side is lumpier than the other and referred me to the breast clinic.

Got the call this morning for an appointment in 2 weeks. Seems so long to wait! I don't know why, I just have a terrible feeling. Breast cancer runs in the family, although no one this young.

I've read stories of IBC being hard to diagnose, and lots of women getting misdiagnosed. I was wondering if anyone has experience of skin change and getting a biopsy at their appt? Will I have to push for one? Worried they will think it's no big deal, but I know with IBC by the time skin changes occur you're already at stage 3 and there is no time to waste.
