Bowel cancer

Hi my mum today had her endoscopy the result was normal she has now been referred for a colonoscopy her symptoms are fatigue and black stools I'm very worried about her but she in good spirits and optimistic she is 87 years old but she is extremely fit for her age I'm very worried that this could be bowel cancer because of her symptoms the hospital has not mentioned bowel cancer her and fortunately she doesn't do google but I do and I can't find many other things it can be because she's already had the endoscopy and that was clear I don't want any odds but can anybody else tell what this could possibly be if not cancer my mum doesn't seem to worried but I am thank you

  • Unfortunately no-one here can tell you what your mum is contending with but it's good to hear her endoscopy result was normal.

Hopefully the colonoscopy will be able to provide some answers but we'll have our fingers crossed the results won't show anything sinister.

I know this is an anxious time but remember that we're here for you and sending you both lots of virtual support.

    Kind regards,
