I'm becoming very worried over this small mole under my right breast, it went from normal to raised, dark brown and then light brown around the side and itchy in a matter of a few weeks. I'm only 16, should I be worried?
I think you'll know yourself that this definitely needs checking out. I think you're right to be concerned - don't delay, call your GP or inform a parent/trusted adult if you don't want to call your GP yourself xo
You will have to wait until Tuesday as NHS Direct don't deal with this type of problem. Give your GP a call first thing on Tuesday. They may do a telephone appointment at first & then ask for you to email photos of your mole so they can decide if they need to refer you to dermatology.
Take some photos of your mole with a ruler next to it so they can see the measurement. Take a couple of photos from different angles so that the colour can be seen.
Hopefully it will all be fine. You are very young for it to be anything serious and this is in your favour. Also, 75% of patients referred to dermatology are given a clean bill of health. Good luck and please let us know how you get on.
