Hi I am awaiting urgent biopsy results after my third hysteroscopy last Friday. I’m struggling to get my head around all this as my first revealed polyps which were removed and simple hyperplasia and the bleeding stopped. I had a check up one in January which was clear and that my lining was back down to 4mm. So I went away happy until this June when I started bleeding again. I’ve been on Norethisterone to stop it till my 3rd one last Friday but I have been getting a lot of left sided pain like I’ve had over the years when I used to ovulate. I always thought it was my ovaries or endo as my sister had it and when bad I would almost be sick. I did get it checked a few years ago but told it might be a fibroid that might go away with menopause. Well I’m 54 now and thought I was a few months into menopause when all this started again. The consultant suddenly mentioned a hysterectomy as I was coming round and the urgency. Apparently my cervix was wide open whatever that means and my uterus is more than double in size which explains my stomach and weight gain maybe. I don’t u derstand where the bleeding is coming from if there are no polyps and my last scans a few months ago were clear. The consultant said there has been a dramatic change.  My lining is now 14 mm.  I had hoped to get a call today as she said about a week but now it’s looking like after the bank holiday and the anxiety is kicking in big time! Please does anyone have experience of a bulky enlarged uterus like this?  I know I’ve got to wait and see but would appreciate any similar stories.
