Awaiting Ultrasound Testicular Cancer

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in that stage of waiting for a diagnosis. Noticed one testicule was feeling uncomfortable and heavy last week, especially were the epididymis connects. Went to the doctor and he referred me for an urgent ultrasound and blood test, not lumps but due to history thought best to check for cancer.

The thing is in the 24 hours since I visited my GP with just mild pain I've since got moderate/severe pain in the epididymis of the other testicle too, stomach cramps and occasional sharp pains in upper abdomen.

I'm not sure whether to wait for my ultrasound appointment or ask my GP to see what other causes it could be.

Are these symptoms, particular speed of onset, typical of testicular cancer or am I wasting time when I should look at something else?

  • Hello Pete68,

Since those are new symptoms since you visited your GP and it is affecting the other testicle and you are experiencing stomach cramps and sharp pains in the upper abdomen, it would be a good idea I think to give your GP a call and letting him/her know about these new issues.

I hope that you get some answers soon and that you won't have to wait too long for your ultrasound appointment.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine for you!

    Best wishes,
