scared about lymphoma

I've had itching sking for a very long time and a swollen gland in my groin. I also had a FBC, lver function and thyroid blood test done - they all came back as normal. (this was in March 2020). The Scane on my gland showed it as wollen but only 73mm and under 1cm therefore no cause for concern. I now have a small lymph node on the back of my head (sometimes hurts) and one under my armpit. Again it is under 1cm.  I was given cream for scabies (embarrssing) which stopped my itchy all over. And I thought that was that. I'm 22 and relatively fit. I go to the gym everyday but recently I have no energy and struggle to stay awake.

Anway, I've now had brusing onmy legs. My itching is back (mainly on feet at night). I occasionally wake up sweating - not terribly but I'm still very hot. I've developed insomnia and keep getting dizzy spells. I feel confused and extremely tired and sometimes dizzy. I had bloods done in July - same as before and all normal. My period has also randomly stopped - I've got the coil and have done for 2 years now but each month get a period. Now its stopped but doctor says it's normal. I know something is wrong as I contstantly feel dizzy and exhausted. I don't sleep. No one is helping me as doctor says it's fine as bloods are normal and scan shows it's under 1cm.  They've made me feel like a massive hypochondriac and I don't know what to do. I'm told as I'm slim thats why I can feel my lymph nodes but I have never felt any before and they have just appeared I know my body and I know it doesn't feel right! I don't know whether I should just go privately to somoene who will listen or just assume all is okay and wait a few more months. But it's been 9 months now and i'm constantly stressed!

  • Hi

im going through a similar situation, I'm also 22 and relatively fit. I have a raised lymph nodes on my neck and arm pits. Push for your GP to have you referred for further blood tests and clinic appointment at the lymphoma ward at your local hospital. You know yourself when something isn't right so definitely ask to be referred as you want to be certain of what's going on. Hope you get some answers!
