I have an ovarian cyst which measured 4.7cm initially, then 4.8cm a few weeks later, so no change really.

My CA125 is 33 but I've had a lot of gastro problems for about the last 3-4 years. I've had investigations but no laparoscopy or CT/MRI scan and the doctor thinks it's probably a combination of IBS and food intolerances.

Now that a cyst has been found I'm wondering whether it's related to the gastro problems. I know it could be endometriosis but could cancer cause similar problems over that timescale.

I've been referred to a gynaecologist but not urgently as the CA125 wasn't raised. Any idea how long the wait is likely to be? Am I looking at a few weeks or a few months?
 

The whole thing is making me very uneasy, though I know most cysts are benign. It's a blood filled cyst by the way, not sure whether that is relevant.

Just looking for similar experiences I guess...

Edited to add: I'm 44 years old and am also awaiting a colonoscopy referral due to spotting after sex.
