Confusion ‍♀️

So last year my mole on my buttock went scabby had it checked via photo and came back not to worry and wasn't removed, so last week I checked my mole on my breast and the middle has started to go darker and the edge is no longer a outer edge. I have been seen by a gp who has referred me for urgent blood tests and to see a dermatologist urgently as he said he's worried it could be cancer. I'm only 30 with two children I work a lot as a support worker. My blood test are not until next Friday as that's the closest appointment within the two week time frame the doctor gave. I am seriously struggling to keep it together I'm trying to be brave i front of my family friends and at work but I just constantly feel like bursting into tears and feel sick. I hide it well so every thinks I am fine. Does anybody have any advice? Also does anybody know if when I do go to the dermatologist if I can have somebody with me because of covid?

  • I've had urgent bloods done at hospital phlebotomy same day.

If your doctor says this is really urgent, is that a possibility still?

Would need to check with hospital phlebotomy and take all the correct forms from GP.

Dermatology were only letting people in to accompany if there was a special need (deaf person or someone needing carer) when I was there a few months ago.

    Good luck with all this.

  • Hi thanks for the response.

i asked that if I could have them at the hospital they said they are appointment only now I'm in greater Manchester so I'm presuming it's because of the local lockdown ‍♀️
would they not let somebody if I told them I'm really anxious and likely to have a anxiety attack do you think?? I had cells removed from my cervix a few years ago and honestly if I hadn't had my mum with me I don't actually know what I would have done I was a mess
