Borderline changes no HPV infection 2 years on...

Hi, looking for advice please!

So about 2 years ago I had a smear test which came back with borderline changes and no HPV they said they would re test in 3 years

A year later I did have bleeding after sex but life for busy with 4 children and I carried on as normal!

Another year later and in march I noticed when I sit down and get up my tail bone really hurt when standing this has been going on for a while but with conovirus I was more worried about that and put the doctors off

In April I noticed an increase in discharge no smell or anything and my periods have been really odd I bleed for a day and then come off sometimes I don't have a period I am only 28.

In July I kept getting very bloated but was also constipated so I kind of put that down to that with work and kids the years months and weeks go very quick being a single working mum I've kind of neglected myself which I'm kicking myself now.

I spoke to my doctor again after being in pain with pelivc pain and all the other symptoms creeping up and getting worse and she said she's reffering me for a vaginal ultrasound which will happen in the next few weeks

I've googled my symptoms and now I'm soo scared ive spent my whole life putting everyone else first making sure the kids have the best life I could give them and in doing all that I've now left my self in a situation where I'm scared I have cervical cancer and late stages due to symptoms I know I shouldn't self diagnose but I'm so worried I can't stop thinking about my children and whos going to look after them if something happens to me.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and turned out to be something less worrying?

If anyone has taken the time to read this thank you any advice or story's of experience would be greatly appreciated

Wish you all the best

Charlotte

  • Hello chazza112,

It's important to take your mind of this for now and focus on the present with your family. When you are worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. The only person that can diagnose you is your doctor. Before you know it your appointment will come around, so it might be a good idea to write down any questions you have so you feel more prepared.

    I hope this helps,
