Left side pains after Lumpectomy & lymph node removal

Hi,

In December 2019 and January 2020 I had operations to remove a lump from my left breast and removal of all lymph nodes under my left arm. Due to pain on my left side and pins and needles in my foot and hand, I'm left feeling unwell and waiting on a bone density scan. I have been taken off tamoxifen for a tablet break. No pain killers seem to be working. My concern is that I have bone cancer. Has anyone had a similar experience? Am I worried for not reason?

  • I'm sorry about the pain you're currently dealing with at the moment Peabody but fingers crossed the scan will reveal what's going on and your symptoms start to improve.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar position will get back to you soon but if you'd like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses then do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Fingers crossed everything will be o.k Peaberry.

    Kind regards,
