So I've been referred to the breast clinic as I have a large lump behind my nipple it's streaches up to the top and down to bottom of my breast so it's not round more oval. How common is this and should I be worried?
I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a lump. It's good to hear that you've seen your GP and that you've been referred to breast clinic to get things checked.
It might help you to know that the majority of women who attend breast clinic do not go on to be diagnosed with cancer. There are many reasons that can cause a breast lump, including fibroadenoma but hopefully the team should be able to give you some idea about what is going on at your first appointment.
