New to the forum and awaiting breast biopsy results

Hi I would just like to introduce myself. I'm Milly, I'm 22 and a mother to three little beautiful babies aged between 2-5. I've recently joined the forum and really don't know what I'm doing! I had breast biopsy's taken by the senior radiologist and was informed it is a 50/50 chance the lumps are cancerous. I've been told not to come alone to my results appointment and that I should have family come with me. I'm u sure what to think but all I know is I'm scared and don't really know what is going on. I feel like it's all a dream if that makes sense. Just wondering if anybody was told the same thing and what there outcomes where.

    Hi Millybob,

Welcome to our forum. I am so sorry to hear that you are so scared. This is always a worrying time and, being scared is part of it, as there are just so many unknowns. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 11 years. On both occasions, which were in different hospitals, I was informed by my consultants that they were pretty sure that I had breast cancer - unfortunately, they were right. However I did have another lump, where I was told the same and, they were wrong. They cannot really be certain until your test results come back.

I am so glad to hear that you have been told to bring someone with you, as many hospitals are still insisting that you go alone for your results and, regardless of what the results turn out to be, we all really need someone with us at this appointment.

Have you been given a date for your appointment?

Please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you..

I am hoping and praying that you get good news.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
