  Unfortunately I am in a similar position but my small toes are affected. I have had a light brown line  since last March. It has slowly widened. Waiting for the two week clinic appointment to be seen by dermatologist.

When you say it's changing pretty quickly - What do you mean?

I first went to the dermatologist with it in February, and it's doubled in width since then.

Hi,

I have no personal experience of a nail biopsy as my melanoma is superficial spreading on the skin. However, we have a few members on the forum who have had this procedure - if you search subungual in the search forum bar at the top of the page you will find their posts.
