Shadow on lung

Hello, I mum has been a smoker since I was alive (I'm 26) she coughed up bright red blood in phlem about 4 weeks ago, her chest stay came back with a shadow on lung, she went docs and they said her white blood cells were VERY high. Could this be an infection? Please help her Ct scan is tonorrow. I'm worrying so much

Hi Megan and welcome to the forum.
How did your mum's CT scan go the other day? I hope it went well and that it won't be long before you're able to find out more about the shadow on her lung.
Waiting for results is always tough but our members know what this is like and I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

her ct results came back today said serious concern on right lung she has clubbed fingers too, she has a biopsy n pet scan next week, im thinking the worst :(
