Chest cough

I am attending a cancer hospital on the 24th August to discuss a treatment plan for my cancer. As yet the consultants haven't located the primary source due to various difficulties. First of all under MRI and CT and 2 biopsy a mass was found near my pelvis that they are sure is a secondary cancer. Where the primary source has been a mystery. The first biopsy was on my penis and the second on my bladder. 

They are pretty certain the primary source is in one of these places. 

Obviously it's a very worrying and stressful time made worse now by a chest cough. I've already had 2 COVID-19 swabs which both proved negative. 

Is it wise to attend the treatment plan visit ? My wife is in touch with my GP who will be ringing her tomorrow morning.

    Hi Chris,

    I am sorry to hear of the circumstances you find yourself in and the agnst you must be going through.

    I would respectfully suggest that if you have an oppertunity to attend your appointment on the 24th then you certainly should. They need to get to the bottom of source and also start to map out a treatment plan.

    Thanks for your reply. I have now been prescribed antibiotics and an inhaler for my cough which is certainly helping. I have been using these and I will be attending the appointment on the 24th. 

    I was worried this cough would stop me going. My appointment is far more important than a cough !
