Referral to Breast Cancer clinic after painful lump - scared

Hi everyone - I am new here.

I have an appointment at the breast clinic on the 26th August after feeling soreness, tenderness and an ache in my left breast and finding a lump.

I am really scared although I am trying my best to think positvely and not worry too much but it's difficult.

I have noticed the pain has sibsided slightly after my visit to the GP and I came on my period yesterday so I am starting to wonder if it's hormonal - however, I know I won't know for sure until my appointment.

I guess I just wanted to hear other stories of sore lumps and what the outcome was - I have only told one person about this, I don't want to worry anyone else unnecessarily.

I am 33 years old and this is the first time I have found a breast lump.

  • Hey, 2yrs ago at 26 I went to the breast clinic with an achy lump, they did an ultrasound Of it and it was a simple cyst, didn't need any test! So it could be very simply like that for you!

If you do need a biopsy don't panic, they do these even if they think it's non cancerous but can't be completely sure, also the biopsy's doesn't hurt at all, they numb it and you feel very very little.

i has my biopsy on Wednesday and I get my results on the 26th

I hope everything turns out ok for you,
