Possible brain tumour

Hi I'm writing on here coz I honestly dont know where else to talk, I dont want to worry my partner. I'm a 28 year old mother to 2 beautiful girls. I've had a pretty much continuous headache for almost a year now, back and forwards to gp with it. It gets so intense I was actually took to a&e to have morphine and it was written off as stress headaches. This is coupled with lactation (I haven't breastfed in 3 years), vision got worse, weight gain (4 stone in a year), appetite lost, periods 8 very irregular, heavy and painful, I tremble, get my words mixed up, forget words easily, short term memory is horrendous. I have no thyroid, so I was hoping my symptoms were linked to that. But after this weeks blood tests they say my thyroid levels are perfect, they did a full blood panel and all were fine. I had my prolactin done in February and was fine, they checked my eyes for signs of pressure and was fine. They  did my  prolactin again today,  and checked my  eyes and there are signs of pressure now. Going for a MRI in next 2 weeks then go for there. They are thinking a tumour or pressure on the brain with fluid build up. I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same symptoms and what happened? Thank you for sticking with me through the essay lol xxx

  • Hi,

Im in a similar situation to you, Im 22 with a little girl who is one. ive been having persistant headaches for a while now along with dizziness, fatigue, short term memory loss, pins and needles, feeling sick, muscle twitching.  I had a ct scan recently that came back normal so the doctors think my symptoms could be down to stress and anxiety which is making them worse worrying that its something serious but they still want me to have an Mri because im still having symptoms,so want to rule anything serious out.  the headache is Always in the same spot and doesnt seem to be going away.

I have my Mri in the morning and Im really nervous, fearing the worse but trying to keep a brave face for my baby.
feel free to message me as I know what you are going through! Lucy xx

  • Hi,

as improbable as this may seem... I've had all those symptoms and it turned out to be chronic migraines...

so fingers crossed it's the same for you guys.

btw if it is migraine! Best treatment I've found is Botox
