I have CIN2, not sure what to do due to family history

I have recently told I have CIN2 and I was wondering if I am better off having an hysterectomy. My mother had cervical cancer at the age of 28, and my sister had cervical cancer at the age of 37, i am 47. Any advice would be grateful.  I also have had surgery  for skin cancer and more to come. I also take immune  suppressants for crohns desiease.

  • Hello Poppychou.

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been told you have some cervical cell changes. Given your family history and your own health problems, it's understandable that you're feeling worried.

Do speak to your Consultant about your concerns as they will be best placed to talk you through your treatment options.

    Best wishes,
