Hi 

I'm new on this, but my grandma has 2 lumps on her neck, I spotted it on Friday and made her an appointment on the Monday! We only spotted 1 and doctor confirmed there is 2 on each side!! We have a scan for tomorrow so this has happened all quickly which is great but worries me!! She's been a smoker on and off for years near 20 she's had other illness such as sepsis 9 times and has recovered but with finding this lump she's scared of what it means.. I'm just looking for someone to maybe explain or even just talk to on what we should expect? She's been very tired for a few months now and doesn't seem to venture out the house but we put this down to her mum being put into a home and her just feeling down!! She is 72 so we don't expect her to be very active but now looking back she has drastically changed and has lost alot of weight!! I'm terrified myself she's raised me and all I've seemed to do all week is cry at the thought of her even Going through this! Everyone is saying to me we will find out within a few days but from reading through further posts this doesn't seem the case... I don't want to get my hopes up if we don't hear for a few days and then is come back she has got it! So really just looking for advice on how do I support her? And what time frames are we looking at here for it to be confirmed all clear or not! Sorry for the long post!
