It has been 2 weeks since they told me I would  be fast tracked for a cystoscopy  ..but still not heard anything ...i had my scan on 7th July... and they called me in 31st July ... i have now yesterday received a copy of a letter thr hospital sent to my GP  where it states that a legion was seen in my pelvic area at the posterior of my bladder and eith had been discussed at an MDT meeting ... is this a normal amount of time to wait fir the systoscopy? I guess I am now more concerned than before due to this being discussed at  MDT meeting .... sorry to go on ..i just feel that the hospital has not given me any support or anyone to contact ...today I left a message with my consultant's secretary and also with PALS so hoping they get back to me  !

Having your case discussed at an MDT meeting doesn't actually mean you have cancer.

After I peed blood last year, in addtion to the cystoscopy, I also had an abdominal CT scan.  The scan found no bladder problems, but did find a small kidney aneurism.  This image was referred to the kidney MDT meeting and they decided that it was too small to require any sort of intervention at the moment; they'd repeat the CT a year later just to confirm that the aneurism is stable.  Cancer wasn't even on the agenda.  I had the repeat CT a few weeks ago but I've yet to hear anything, but I don't expect there's been any change.

I think you mean "lesion".  It just means some part of the body that's been damaged by injury or illness - the word itself doesn't imply "cancer".

While we're on the topic, the word "tumour" also doesn't imply cancer.  It's just the medical word for a "lump", and most lumps aren't cancer. 

Don't be frightened by words.

Cystoscopy wasn't very dignified but didn't hurt - just uncomfortable. It was clear so being sent for CT scan to check kidneys. Hope you get a date soon for yours xxxx
