I'm posting my issue in hope that someone might be able to shed some light on what might be going on and possibly confirm that I am right to feel worried.
I am 19 years of age, I don't smoke and I very rarely drink, I started with this issue with my throat last July, (July 2019) and a year on I'm still having problems, I was admitted into hospital on August 8th 2019 after 8 excruciating weeks of being told by my doctor there is nothing wrong with me, I have these like cysts all on the back of my throat and I couldn't swollow and I lost lots of weight, I seen two ENT doctors and he wanted to have a look with a camera and I regret it now but at the time I was 18 and I had never had anything like that before so I was terrified so the next morning I said I was fine and they sent me home. Massive mistake.
i was then seen as an outpatient in the October (still 2019) and I seen this young arrogant consultant that said he was so sure it was tonsillitis even tho 2 of his colleagues who seen me when I was admitted into hospital told me that it wasn't tonsillitis so I'm waiting to have them removed, but myself and a lot of people don't think it's tonsillitis I have kept a photo and video diary all the way through and they stay the same and sometimes even get worse! I have had these cysts for over a year now and I'm in so much pain with my throat every day, there are even worse weeks when I have it extremely bad and I can't swallow again, I have completely lost my appetite I feel tired all th time and I just want a someone to listen to me and not just push me into this box with everyone else.
if anyone has any knowledge at all wether they even agree that's it's tonsillitis then please let me know! I'm having a second opinion in 2 weeks!
