Hi
Looking for anyone who has been ior is n a similar situation, so long story but bear with...
Last year my hubby (56) had a couple of incidents of numbness in his left hand, then he started to get occasionally tight chested and breathless- top left lung area, - he smokes - pains in shoulders and across back
Went for CT in feb and chest xray - both came back clear, although they said the chest x-ray shows some scarring probably due to him smoking. all the blood tests all ok except vitamin D deficiency.
Since then he has got progressively worse, he has lost weight (nearly a stone) , pins n needles and pain in his arms, hands, shoulders, upper legs and now his head(?) . His muscle wastage is worsening and he struggles to do his maintenance job at times as his muscles are weak. he had last week a CT for bowel cancer - and repeat bloods - all ok , tested for thyroid, diabetes, liver, kidney function
He hasn't actually seen a doctor in person since March as our practice is on partial lockdown they only have phone appointments, although people that haven;t seen him for a few weeks have commented on his weight loss.
Doc is calling him tomorrow to discuss his clear results and see where we go from here - I am absolutely convinced they have missed something, he seems to be getting worse by the week, even thinking of going private as we just need an answer, feel like if they don't do something soon it may be too late :(
Has anyone here had any previous experience of anything similar and any words of advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Jenny
