The best thing often is to try to keep your mind off things by keeping busy and distracted. Try to avoid dwelling on it too much if you can, and steer clear of Google which is rarely helpful.

I hope the appointment comes around quickly and that you're able to find out more soon.

What was the outcome for you please?  

I have a lump in my upper arm also, waiting for a ultrasound but will be a while

Hello - apologies I never did respond, I thought no one had seen the post!

I haven't had any notifications, and today I have for some reason!

I'm really happy to say that I had an ultra sound and although they agree it was a bit strange, it most certainly wasn't cancerous. 
No more action was taken and it has since disappeared.

I really, really hope that gives some of you some reassurance. I was in a really terrible state of worry and panic, and actually did suffer a few panic attacks which I have never experienced before. So I do really understand the worry.

Very oddly, I have found another small hard lump on the front of my upper arm. I am much calmer about this, but will be getting it checked out. 
 

I really hope you have your mind put to ease soon and that you are seen soon.

One thing I have certainly learnt is that Google is not your friend, as tempting as it is.. Trying to keep busy, taking time to really breathe properly is really important, and know that whatever the outcome you are doing everything you possibly can by being seen.
