Really scared

Hi,

I posted on here a few weeks ago about a suspicious mole I had. I was referred to dermatology and was asked to send over photos and had a telephone consultation and was told the mole looked completely fine and that they were not  concerned.

however, I now have a new worry. I've been having worrying symptoms for just over a week. Dizziness, feeling sick, vertigo, pain in the back of my head, unsteadiness, vision problems, pins and needles around my legs, arms, hands and feet and feeling weak. Also loss of sensation in hands that comes and goes

been to the gp and I've been referred now to a neurologist and for an Mri scan.

im absolutely terrified. I have a one year old daughter and I can't stop crying and fearing the worse

    Hi Lucyjm,

I am so sorry to hear about all of the symptoms that you've had. I am glad to hear that the Dermatologist was not concerned once s/he saw the photograph of your mole. I am hoping that your latest symptoms are the result of the anxiety whilst you were waiting to get a diagnosis for your mole and, that you don't have to wait too long to see a neurologist.

As someone who has had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 11 years, I can appreciate how nervous you feel for your daughter. However, even if it is something untoward, it sounds as if you have caught it early, which should make the outcome better.

I sincerely hope that there is a simpler explanation for your symptoms. Please keep in touch and, let us know how you get on and, remember that we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
