I have a lump on the back of my head

Hi I'm 17 years old and about 2 months ago I noticed a lump on the back of my head. I didn't pay too much attention to it until I started to google about it. The things that came up etc tumours, cancers osteomas just made me worry. I went to my doctors and she said it was nothing to worry about and that it happens since I'm 17 and my skull is changing. The lump feels like a bone literally and you can notice it. I'm still worried about it. I generally don't have symptoms. And it is painless to the touch. So I was wondering to get some advice  to put my mind at rest.

  • Hi Sam and welcome to the forum.

If you're still worried you could try booking another appointment with the same GP to discuss your concerns and explain why it's worrying you or if there is another doctor at your surgery you could try seeing them for a second opinion. To find out more just click here.
