Mucus in stool

After going to the toilet and passing stool I have noticed that there is a small amount of mucus, This has been occurring for close to a year. I have no other symptoms. I am a healthy 17 year old and after going on google and finding cancer could be a cause I have started to worry. There is no disharge other than a few strands of mucus actually stuck to the stool.

    Thank you for posting. I see from your post that you are worried about some symptoms you have.  The best thing to do is to go and see your doctor about these problems. When you are worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers on an online forum, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better.  And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of your appointment.
