Hi there,

A few days ago I had some ear pain and was feeling a little run down after swimming. The pain passed but while feeling around my ear I noticed the just below (kind of like top of the jaw) there was a hard mass buried beneath the skin. It feels almost like bone. I've never really felt around this part of my neck before and wondered what it could be. It feels exactly the same on the other side of my neck. I know it might be a stupid question, but is this normal? Or something that I should get checked out? I was a little concerned when I first felt it, but don't know what to think since it's also the same on the other side.
