pelvic ultrasound

hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone had these symtoms or advice, in october I had a uti and the bladder pressure and back pain never went away. so i asked for a scan, they gave me meds and told me to try that, as its only overactive bladder, i didn´t feel this was right so pushed for months for a scan, scan showed complex 6.7cm ovarian cyst. was refered to oncology, as they said my cyst looked like cancer, had a second and third scan, the ultrasound tech, who did both scans said it was all clear. after my last scan my nurse called me and said cyst is still there just gone down to 6.5cm. waited for another scan which was today, tech said no its gone, i said why did they say its complex and they said its just a normal follicle cyst that bled into ovary. so i called oncology nurse and asked doctor to call me back as im sick of this now, want to know why theyre messing around saying its gone then its not. i have constant bladder pressure, i never know when i need to pee because its there all the time, and i dont know how much longer i can do this. even looking into going for a private scan so i´ll know for sure

  • Hello lily566

I'm sorry to hear about your health concerns and that you've been given conflicting advice by different health professionals. I sure it must have been upsetting to be told that you possibly have cancer and then to be told that the cyst has gone and then that it hadn't. It's understandable that you're feeling worried.

You might find it helpful to get in touch with your hospital PALS department who can offer confidential advice, support and information in these kind of situations.

I do hope that you get some clear answers and advice soon.

    Best wishes,
