Worried about Hodgkin’s lymphoma (Hereditary)

Hello , (may I start with saying my deepest prayers and sympathies go out to all cancer fighters and nurses ) I have previously posted on here about myself but this time it is for my mother. She is a 39 woman , excellent mother to 4 kids. She previously used to enjoy jogs and trips with myself my dad and my siblings. For a while now my mum has been extremely fatigued which the doctors put down to her being anaemic as we all suffer from factor 11 deficiency (haemophilia). But recently she has been having bad night sweats and itchy skin on top of that. She recently felt a pea sized lump in her groin that can only be felt not seen. Of course she instantly thought Hodgkin's lymphoma may I add her dad had Hodgkins Lymphoma about 20 years ago now which adds to her worry even more. She got the doctor to feel this lump and the doctor just told her to come back in 6 months if the lump was still there which of course wasn't much relief. I write in hope that maybe the nurses can give some help or Hodgkin's lymphoma sufferers ( my greatest sympathies) could respond with some advice or some giveaway symptoms or what else this could be we would he deeply grateful. Thanks again !

  • Hello Missymoo122

I'm sorry to hear that your Mother is dealing with some health problems that are causing some concern at the moment. It's understandable that she has been worried.
Unfortunately I don't know what could be causing these issues but if you'd like to speak to our nurses for some advice then you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

If things don't improve then do encourage your Mum to go back to her GP.

    Best wishes,
