Hi 

for some time I have been experiencing severe pain and swelling in my upper abdomen for a little while, I just got on with it because my youngest child has some medical issues which will always take priority. well it got to the point that I couldnt cope anymore so finally saw my dr who sent me for routine bloods, I had them done and in less than 20 hours I had a call from the dr saying a number of my inflammatory markers were extremely high and he wanted an urgent ct of my liver and pancreas, and another call literally 20mins later to say the request had been sent for the scan etc, this all seems a little thorough from my experience with my gp practice! well just over a week later I have my ct on saturday. I think i am worried and over thinking because i lost my mum 13 years ago when she was 50 to leimyosarcoma and my maternal grandmother died before I was born. I have 3 beautiful babies aged 13, 9 and 7 and a wonderful husband who I dont want to burden too much and worry him so I am just brushing it all off but inside I am really frightened. Sorry for the long winded post!
