Worried about diagnosis

Hello all,

im brand new here and looking to start a dialogue with those who may have had similar issues. I found a lump on my testicles quite some time ago but stupidly ignored it, ignorance is bliss but always catches up.

I started to feel a pain in my testicles which spread to my leg . I went to the doctor and he has referred me for an ultrasound and some chest x-rays. He also gave me antibiotics. The pain was gone a few days after starting the course. I was hoping that was a good sign as I didn't think antibiotics would get rid of pain if it was cancer?  He listened to my chest and said It sounded muted. I've not had the tests yet but I'm really worried about the potential outcome. Will they tell me right away if it's cancer after the ultrasound/ x rays?

has anyone else had anything similar? Thanks so much.

stay safe out there.

  • I noticed 3 small pea sized lumps on my penis last November but I ignored them. Stupid I know. In March this year, I finally went to my doctor.

The diagnosis wasn't particularly good as I was also suffering from urine retention.

After having a catheter fitted, it was then noticed several more lumps. So an ultrasound scan followed. The results were not conclusive so a MRI scan and a  CT scan and Xrays were booked. The results of the scan didn't come through for about 2 weeks.

My consultant then informed me that a biopsy was needed. He also said that it's quite common that cancer doesn't show up on xrays. That's why further tests are needed. I'm now waiting for the biopsy results.

Test results usually take a week or two to be analysed.

All the best for the future
