Persistent sore throat

Hi, I've had a sore throat on and off for quite a few months now this is alongside pain in my teeth and ears. The doctor made an emergency referral to ENT who telephoned with an appointment that day for a weeks time. I've been stupid and used Google for my symptoms and now the worry is killing me. I cant stop crying. The appointment is over the telephone as they are not doing face to face consultations. Has any one else had this happen and how is it going to work

    Hi AMHol,

     

    I’m in a similar position and waiting for results from my MRI scan after an urgent referral. I’ve been chatting to PAR123 on here as they are also waiting for results. It’s a horrible time and your thoughts can run away with you but try to occupy yourself (easier said than done). 

    My consultation with ENT was over the phone and they arranged the MRI for the week after.

     

    I’m guessing they’ll offer you an MRI. I know the usual route would be camera in the nose/throat first but I didn’t get that (I’m assuming that was due to the Covid situation).

    Thank you for your reply. As you say I need to occupy myself and try not to over think things....easier said than donebut I know that I need to for the sake of not only mine but my families sanity! Hopefully I will know more after my consultation in the morning. I hope all goes well for you too
