Worried I have a cancer of some sort - possibly pancreas

Hi all,

Sorry to hear of some of the stories and what people are going through. You are all heroes.

I have had a few years of loose bloody stools that pear oily. I’m so used to it that I just see it as the norm for me. In the past 2 years I have had a CT scan on my pancreas - came back clear but fatt liver was found. I have also had 2 colonoscopies where polyps were found but also came back clear and piles were the cause of bleeding, though I doubt this due to amount of blood.

Anyway, last 3 months I’ve had itching, head to toe, 24/7 that has driven me insane. it feel like a feather tickling me and only needs a light touch for it to go, so not intense scratching. I have raging tinitus and hearing loss one side of my head, confusion and blurred vision. 2 MRI of head have come back clear.

Doctos now feel that scan of liver and pancreas is next step and now worried my pancreas is in trouble as itching is a symptom and oily stools. I have also had 3 episodes over past 2 years with a bad stomach where I was on the floor for a few hours each time but nothing showed in X-rays - why would it but that a&E for you.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Oh, basic bloods have always come back fine.

  • Welcome to the forum Walt although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

Although no-one here can say what this could be it's good that the doctors are being thorough and are sending you for more tests to find out what's causing your symptoms.

Fingers crossed all goes well with your scan and that you're able to get some answers soon.

    Kind regards,
