Worried about cancer

Hi All, I  am hoping someone can help me with positive stories.

I have recently had endometrial biopsy and got my results yesterday which came back showing I have endometrial hyperplasia I think complex but also showed some abnormalities so my consultant has said I now need bloodtests, hysteroscopy and Mri. This all came about as we were about to start Ivf with doner eggs to try and have a 2nd child but  when they scanned me my lining was really thick and we got referred.

I suffer with health anxiety and I have convinced my self that's I have every cancer going and that's it spread and that I'm not going to see my little girl grow up. I am very scared that they will find something wrong I am only 39, I made the mistake of google and now can't seem to get out of my head x

  • Hello Artic_Wolf

I'm sorry to hear that you've been referred for some further tests following a recent ultrasound and biopsy. It's natural to feel concerned about what these abnormalities may be and I think most of our members here will know just how hard this period of uncertainty can be.

Please give google a wide berth for now as it will only make you feel even more anxious about things whilst not giving you an answers. I'd also suggest having a look at this webpage from the NHS which has some tips for helping to manage anxiety. Hopefully it will help you to feel more incontrol whilst you're waiting for these further tests and the results.

You might also find it helpful to have a chat with one of our team of nurses. I'm sure that they will be able to offer some advice and support. You can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

I hope that you don't have to wait too long for news. Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
