Hi I have just read your post  can I ask if they told you over the phone if it was cancerous

im waiting on my biopsy result and they have booked me in a virtual telephone appointment next week 

I have already met my consultant after my scan on my thyroid and she said that my lump was very suspicious and that they are looking for thyroid Cancer and they wanted me to know that

this was before the biopsy.

I got a letter today to say that they will be giving  me a virtual telephone appointment and I felt relieved as I think they surely can't tell you bad news over the phone but my husband was like yes that's great but remember we are in covid so something might be different 

so just looking for some advice

Hi, when I had the scan and biopsy they told me there and then that it looked like cancer, and yes they confirmed it over the phone. I actually found it better that way because I was at home in my own environment so felt a lot more comfortable than in a clinical setting. I hope it's good news for you, stay strong xx

In a way I just wish that They never told me that they was looking for thyroid cancer and that it looked very Suspicious as the waiting bit is just so hard but I will stay strong

I'm waiting for biopsy results too and in absolute turmoil with it. The wait is so long and even keeping busy isn't helping. Good luck with yours x

Heya my phone call was yesterday and unfortunately I have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and it has spread into my lymph-nodes

but being told over the phone wasn't a bad thing I had it on Loudspeaker and everybody was with me and asked loads of questions so it was really good because they ask questions that I wasn't thinking of

Oh I'm sorry you have received this news yesterday. I'm glad you felt okay with it over the phone and you had the opportunity to ask questions and have you family listen in to. Take each day as it comes and don't put pressure on yourself to be strong. You will be strong naturally xx

Hi there just ready you're post and wondering if you got you're results? I'm waiting for mine and it's a phone appointment next Tuesday. Im trying not to worry as it's a telephone appointment but now not to sure as it seems a few were told over the phone they did in fact have cancer. Hope you're doing ok. :)

Hi there, please know I'm thinking of you the waiting is the worst. I did infact get bad news over the phone and this is their procedure either way. I have to admit I preferred it as I had my family around me and my phone was on loudspeaker.
