You are not alone, im waiting for a ultrasound on my neck and ive one main lump and other littlish ones. Have you got a date for your appointment yet? Im still waiting for a date. X

Hiya,  no but I've been told I should have an appointment in the next two weeks. They thought originally I had a goitre (could be spelt wrong) but my bloods have come back completely normal. Obviously I then googled unexpected lump in throat and panicked... I know they say you shouldn't use dr google but I did  (wish I never) my doctor phoned me and has told me not to worry I'm just hoping it's a swollen gland but i ain't no till they've done scan xx

Hello, I am in the exact same situation as you. I had a sore throat for  a couple of weeks, I felt my throat and could feel a lump, this was at the end of April, my bloods came back normal to, I  had a neck scan 2 weeks ago which has revealed I have a 5cm nodule on my thyroid. I'm having a fine need aspiration tomorrow to take some cells.  I'm really scared at this point your mind carnt help but think the worst. Hoping you get your scan through soon keep us posted. Xx

I definitely will keep you posted, what is a nodule and what is it that they have to do like the fine needle thing what is it and what's it for xx

Do not be frightened not knowing is worse than knowing. I have recently gone through two different scans because of lump on my neck. I have had the results, knowing the situation is far better than not knowing. Just stay calm and try not to worry.
