Ovarian/womb. Personal advice would be appreciated?

Okay so a long one I would really like your advice from experience as this is just what's been happening so far.

Here we go. So I began to get heavy periods around 9 weeks ago and if I say period I havnt stopped bleeding apart from 3 day break and 2 day break and its like water (sorry TMI)

In between this think it's was 4 weeks into the bleed I called the GP exsplained what was happening and they gave me some hormones to take along side my pill for 10 days. Thay stopped the bleeding after 2 days of taking them and I was off for 3 then can back on for the rest of the tablets course and just didn't stop. I have loss of hunger (one bite into a meal and I'm full) stomach pain but it's like a stabbing. Constantly feeling heavy like I need to push but nothing is there to come out (that labour feeling) plus sex is just beyond painful.
i called the GP again 2 weeks ago and have to admit she is the best doctor I have ever come across in my life. She took all my information and said to do some swabs and precaution antibiotics. No matter than an hour later she called me back, she asks me if I have ever had a follow up from Gynaecology after I had my baby in November (2019) i said no, she follows that there was a note of a mass on my womb. She told me to leave it with her but either way she wants an emergency ultrasound.
3 days later on Monday she calls me and tells me she has issued a complaint to the hospital board for the failure to follow through.
She has also booked me a gynaecology appointment at a private hospital for Tuesday and she is taking the morning off to come with me to the appointment.
She has also booked the ultrasound for Thursday and said she will call me first thing Friday.

  • Sorry to hear you’re going through this, I myself I’m in limbo regarding blood in stool. Anyway back to you, I can not believe the hospital did nothing regarding the mass in your womb ?! Could they have thought it was a cyst ? Or a fibroid ? Regardless it should have been on your notes what this thing is. I’m shocked that the hospital has done nothing and clearly whatever this is, is causing you to bleed. I really hope you hear good news and that they will be looking to take this mass out. Your doctor is absolutely amazing, have never heard of a doctor take time off to attend an appointment with a patient.

  • She has been amazing, I think she may be a student aswell.

I can't believe the hospital but at the same time it was an emergency section so the baby was more important.

ive had 3 premature babies 32 weeks 26weeks and 30 weeks. So I'm hoping maybe this is a reason why they have all come early.

i hope you're okay, I guess it's the fear of it being out of our control and not getting answers faster than we like xx

  • So just an update, I went to see the gynaecologist today it was an awful experience.

I went in explained everything. Her response she doesn't know why I'm there I should just go on birth control or something.
I explained that I was on the pill and I came off it as the doctor recommended to see if it would stop the bleeding and it hadn't.

She didn't give a pelvic exam, she didn't do my bloods and basically told me to start birth control. I'm not going to lie I left in tears.
My GP is really angry and has said she's getting me a second opinion x
