In May I went to GP as my left nipple was bleeding. She wasn't concerned but referred me to breast clinic to get checked. My appointment was early July which consisted of examination, mammogram & Ultrasound. At end of appointment I was discharged and advised nothing concerning was noticed on mammogram or ultrasound and as bleeding stopped there were no concerns.
4 days later I got a letter stating that my mammogram has been reread and there is an area of concern. It's was noted as not being immediately concerning but did require further investigation. I attended this appointment on this week where a second mammogram was performed and radiographer explained I have calcifications, I was also given an appointment for end of month to come in for a biopsy.
I am weirdly and most likely irrationally terrified of the biopsy, probably because I have been told to come alone due to COVID-19. Also the thought of another mammogram is not nice, I am so bruised after last two. Does this seem like the normal way breast appointments go?
