Diagnosis next week hopefully

Hi guys, I started to get a dull pain just at the top of my left breast (where the crease is by the armpit). Aswell as pain in the armpit. After waiting 6 - 7 weeks I went to the gp, she told be she could feel lumps and they didn't feel like normal breast tissue.

 

Been referred to the breast clinic but super worried, there has been no changes during my cycle.

 

I also have fatty lumps in my right breast but was told straight away they are fatty lumps and she's just going to send me to put my mind at rest (this was 4 years ag , not now, which is why I'm worried she didn't say it wasn't serious) 

 

So my question is, anyone ever had the same?

 

It's also (she said based on other symptoms) that it's not a blocked milk duct or a lymph node infection... I'm really worried . I'm 23.

    Hi Abnabs,

    Welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear about your symptoms, but glad to hear that you are being referred to the breast clinic for tests. Some people have naturally fatty or lumpy breasts, so let's hope that this is all that is the matter with you.

    It is impossible to comment on the likelihood of anything sinister being present. It is only by having certain tests that you can be sure whether or not you have cancer. If you do, these tests will show the type and grade of breast cancer present.

    Have you got a date through yet for your appointment? If not, I hope that you don't have long to wait.

    Hi jolamine, my appointment is next Wednesday and I was more wanting to know if anyone has had the same and what there outcome was. I check my breast quite often and they are new lumps and pain.

    Hi Abnabs,

    Not too long to wait for your appointment, which is good. You  said that you want to hear from people with similar problems. There a number of different reasons for your symptoms and the outcome varies from one person to the next.
    You will probably have tests to see whether or not there is any cancer present. These tests can also determine the grade and type of cancer present, but you will have to wait 1-2 weeks to get the results of these tests. It is unusual to have any pain with breast cancer.

    More people are likely to come along once you know your type and grade of cancer, but here's hoping that you get a negative diagnosis.

    Hi, 

     

    Your symptoms seem to mirror mine although I can't help you at the minute as I'm waiting for my results!  I had my biopsy last Wednesday and hopefully get my results this Thursday coming.

     

    I just have the one lump where my breast goes into my armpit. My mammogram was clear but the ultrasound tech could not get a good look at the lump because of the position it is in so took a biopsy. 

     

    Hopefully we both get good results x

    I hope we both do, please let me know. If the mammogram is clear does that mean you're cancer free?

    I'm not sure at the moment until I get the results back on the lump. There is nothing in my breast but my breast tissue goes up Into my armpit where the lump is. What I though was just armpit flab is actually breast tissue :laugh:
