I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with these concerns about a breast lump at the moment. We know that waiting for appointment and tests can be a particularly difficult time for many people and it's natural to feel scared. 

Waiting times in Scotland & Wales are measured slightly different in the way that they are in England. I would suggest giving your the hospital a call to check they have received your referral and ask how long you may have to wait for an appointment. It may be that they have a cancellation list that you can ask for your name to be put on if you're able to attend an appointment at short notice, or it may be that they currently have a short waiting list. 

We do know that the majority of women who are referred to breast clinic do not go on to be diganosed with breast cancer so try to keep that in mind whilst you're waiting for your appointment.
