Hi everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read this :)
I've been under investigation for lymphoma recently after having generalized itching for over 6 months and what felt like swollen nodes in my neck.
I had a CT scan of my neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis which came back normal. The nodes in my neck were slightly enlarged but all less than 1cm and did not look suspicious so the doctors were not concerned and said they think it is unlikely I have any haematological malignancy - (I presume this is why they didn't proceed with a biopsy).
I also had routine bloods taken and all came back normal. Initially my LDH was slightly elevated but I had it repeated and it came back well within normal parameters.
I have another follow up in 4 months and they have said if everything is normal they will discharge me back to my GP.
I have suffered with mild night sweats on and off for a number of years now (I also have another autoimmune condition) but in the past few months they have become a lot more frequent, nearly every night. I wouldn't describe them as a drenching, my bed sheets aren't visibly wet but my clothes and bedsheets feel damp to touch.
I've mentioned this to the haematologist, but again, they've said they're not concerned because they're not 'drenching'.
I can't help but worry that there is something sinister hiding that they've missed because I know that night sweats are another common symptom of lymphoma, but at the same time I keep thinking that if there was, surely it would've been picked up on the CT?
Any advice would be appreciated :)
