breast lump

Hi Im a 50 year old woman with breast implants. last weekend I found a small hard lump in my left breast. I rung my GP but because of COVID I cant see her for a face to face appointment until next Monday :(  Since finding the 1st lump I can now feel another small one adjacent to the original lump. Im absolutely terrified and am finding the wait to see my GP agony. I know that lumps in the boobs can be a million and one things but am none the less vey worried...my dad was diagnsoed with terminal lung cancer last year so I suppose I am more scared of what the lump could be due to that......I am normally very pragatic and sensible about such things but Im really scared.

  • Hello Donhug70

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a breast lump. Understandably it's worrying time for you.

I can see that you've been chatting with some other members on another thread. It's natural to be be worried but it can sometimes help to remember that the majority of women who are referred to breast clinic with a lump are not diagnosed with cancer so try to stay positive.

If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses, before or after you see your GP, then please do give them a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
