Large breasts difficulty identifying lumps

Hi ladies,

I was wondering if there was any large chested women out there who are also finding difficulties checking their breasts for lumps? I am 32H and my breasts are very dense inside with lots of fatty bits, tissue bumps and ridges and I really am finding it hard to identify what is a lump and what isn't.... it kind of feels there are lumps everywhere !!

im currently waiting for breast clinic referral from my GP to possibly have an ultrasound to find what exactly is going on. I think I have two lumps but honestly it's so hard when you breasts are Large and dense. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way or is it just me ?

thanks xxx

  • No you're not alone in this, mine are 34E so very difficult to decide.  I got mine checked and I had fatty lumps which were all removed under surgery and came back clear.  Hope all goes well for you.  Best wishes, Carol

  • Hi,

i didn't know they could remove the fatty lumps, thanks for sharing your story and I'm glad it has all come back clear ! I ended up booking an appointment with a private hospital and will be seen by a consultant tomorrow... i couldn't wait for the NHS appointment as I'm too anxious and want to get this investigated as Soon as possible.

How long did you have the lumps in your breasts before you got them investigated ?

  • Afternoon, i too have fatty breasts, am only a 32dd but it is very hard to actually identify what could be a worrying lump. I'm 33 so at the age where my breasts are changing a lot, i just go to the gp more often to get them checked out. They have never said i am wasting time but would rather i go in to get them checked then sit and worry. Only this time i am now worried, have a dimple under left breast.

I would say with going private, you will pay a fortune to have the tests, and some are transferred over to the nhs anyway. (I learnt from going private for a heart scare a while ago)

Hope your anxiety over it eases, easier said then done i know. I have spent my day baking and cleaning, bit goodness knows what i will do to keep myself busy for the next 10 days!

  • Hi, I had them for many months but once I was in the system it was done quickly and everyone was lovely.  Carol x

  • Thanks carol xx have a lovely day
