Waiting on refferal BC

So I'm 33 with 4 kids about 6 years ago id found a lump in my right breast and drs referred me for an ultrasound thankfully it was just fatty muscle at one point both my nippes where inverted now its only my left one that is

Sunday night and I'm checking and find a hard move able lump in the same breast (right breast) dr said its would be about 10 o clock if they where looking from a clock point of view she also said she could see it where one side of breast is bigger than the other she's referred on me the 2 week criteria not sure if that's because my great gran and great aunt died from it in there 70s and 60s, this lump feels nothing like my previous time as that one is still there and that's set me in a blind panic

  • To be honest I would be doing the same thinking of different outcomes however now you sort of have a plan in place it best not to think about as much as possible put it to the back of your mind untill you know what what as all the worrying could be for nothing

when is it your going back ?

  • Hiya that's my plan,

I got a phone call today I'm to go in Monday so it'll be 5 days in total from the day I seen my gp, which is very quick

  • Sorry I am little confused so you say your going in on Monday will this be your first time for them to have a look ? Or for results on what they may or may not of found I'm thinking the later one ? X

  • hiya

No this will be my first time going in to the clinic for them to have a look x

  • Ok so you maded the first step which is scary in itself you be taken into a room with a surgeron and a nurse they ask you if you have any symptoms when you found what you found and if you have any idea when you found it

the surgeron will want to have a look then you be taken for a mannogram it a little uncomfortable for a few seconds more a squash feeling then maybe an ultrasound ( like you was having a baby nothing painful )

then I had a bisposy not sure if that standard or not sorry if so there be a nurse there two they put a needle into your breast which will sting for a second and then you only feel a bit of a pull

you then be taken back to see your surgeron and he or she will tell you what they possibly found if you have a bisposy you have to wait a further week and half for the results

I hope my experiences have helped you as I'm aware it won't be the same for everyone

if you have any more questions please feel free to ask x
