Breastfeeding & symptoms

Hi there

 

Im currently still breastfeeding my 1 year old but have some worrying changes in my breasts. I have an appointment on Thursday but I am finding it hard not to constantly worry. 

 

I have had a spot on my boob for nearly 5 months, it starts to heal then comes back again. I have also had pains in my arm pits. Now I have a dent in my areola just under my nipple and increasing breast pain. I wondered if anyone else had experienced similar? 

I am finding it hard not to feel really scared.

     I can not really comment on your symptoms as mine are different but i know how the worry feels. 

     

    I have stopped feeding my 22months old 5 weeks ago and last week I found a lump. Went the GP yesterday and have an appointment on the 14.07 which seems a lifetime away. I am ringing various numbers to bring it forward with no such luck. My GP didnt seem to concerned and said it feels benign to her. I still worry. The last months have been so tough and I dont know how much more I can take. After all the poking I have now done the boob is constantly sore! 

     

    Did your GP give you any advise?

    Its so worrying and tough. I am suppose to look after my 3 beautiful tinkas but barely manage that.

    Hi W0rried, thanks so much for your reply and so sorry you are struggling too. It’s so hard. GP didn’t have any advice, we tried creams and antibiotics and then I got referred.
