I am 20 years old, I was previously barely asthmatic. For the past 4 months or so, my asthma has been so awful that I'm using my inhaler around 4 times daily. I've been put on another inhaler and montelukast tablets but my breathing isn't improving. For the past 2 weeks I've been getting aches in my neck, and for the last week I had been getting a tingling in my left hand. I rang 111 who referred me to a&e, my blood tests came back clear, and they didn't mention the results of my chest X-ray but I presume they were clear too. I asked them to feel my neck and they said there was no swelling. Fast forwards to last night and my breathing was so bad that my inhaler was barely relieving me. I rang 111 and they booked me in with an urgent care centre today. The doctor there put me on a higher dosage inhaler but also felt my neck and could feel my lymph node under my ear as it is hard and swollen, he told me to contact the GP on Monday and request an ultrasound. Has anyone ever had similar and it is nothing sinister? I'm just concerned as I don't have any infection that the blood works picked up.
thankyou
