Telephone consultation???

Just got my 2ww referral appointment for my swollen lymph gland on neck through for the 14/07 and it's a telephone consultation and I was just wondering how on earth that worked? The nurse said that after a discussion with the specialist options will be discussed but I can't help think that someone actually needs to touch me (not in that way)?

Anyone else experienced this?

Hi seasidetray,

Unfortunately during these times this seems to be the normal at the moment. I had my first post OP appointment via a telephone consultation not ideal for me as I have other sites that could be also be MM. I'm not to happy about the situation but I'm hoping my next appointment will be face to face.

I was advised to take photos next to a ruler to gauge sizes incase of any changes and to also check my nodes.
They gave me an email address that's dedicated to sending photos of changes in, that has put my mind slightly as ease.

Maybe that something for you to discuss during your appointment.
