Hi All,
I am 35, I had excruciating pain in my right hand side, 2 weeks ago I was in hospital being tested for suspected appendicitis, but all cleared. I have been in today for ultrasounds. In 2009 I had an op to remove a dermoid cyst, however after they advised they couldn't locate the cyst and instead burned away endometriosis scarring. Fast forward to today and the cyst from 2009 is still present and I now have a larger cyst on the opposite side. I am told I will be referred to the gynocolgist by my GP and to wait up to 10 days for this all to happen.
However, I am incredibly concerned as they weren't vocal with me, which I get, as they aren't allowed to diagnose etc. However, they were vocal with each other and something which stood out was that the vessels lit up. I am not good at waiting and of course that stuck in my head and google has not been my friend. Cysts having blood flow are classed as complex and from reading, could potentially be ovarian cancer? Should I pressure the GP for the referral quicker than 10 days, I have access to private healthcare, should I push to be referred? Anyone else had the same experience?
Thanks, Nikki
