Hi I woke up about 6 weka ago with a painful breast hot and red this went on for about a week but eased off on Tuesday same thing again I got in to see my doctor who gave me a course of penicillin and referred me to breast clinic I have an. Appointment on 14th July for mamaogram and possibly biopsy I have Google I know I shouldn't but all my symptoms make me think. It is IBC I am. Absolutely past myself with worry I can't eat and so scared fingers crossed for a good result when I go to clinic.

    Hi pammy,

     

    I know the wait to go to the breast clinic is awful but remember that you are now going to be seen and quickly....I think the 2 week wait is brilliant as people wait a lot longer. Try not to worry (I know its hard) and keep yourself occupied and take each day at a time. 

    The breast clinics are brilliant and very supportive.

    Stay off Dr Google as there is a lot of misinformation

     

    The wait for results is also a nightmare.

    But this site is fab for support and if you want a rant.

    How did things go? I am currently waiting to visit the breast clinic after finding a dimple on my breast which I am suspecting is ibc.

    All was okay thankfully it was my milk ducts which widen and shorten as you get older apparently and I got infection in them so antibiotics cleared it but i had a mammogram and scan but from me googling I was convinced it could only be ibc have you googled and is that why you are thinking the same xx
