Big lumps in both breasts

I am 17 years old and have two very large lumps in both of my breasts (booked a doctor appointment also due to start combined pill soon). Both lumps are hard, bumpy, moveable and pretty much exactly the same on both breasts. One lump is on the top of both breasts above the nipple it feels about 2-3 inches large and the other lump is underneath both nipples at the underside of my breasts and is slightly smaller about 1.5-2 inches across.

I've looked up what it could possibly be I think it's more likely fibrocystic breast changes than anything more serious as I have always experienced severe changes before my period. They never completely go away but they shrink significantly after my period then a few days before I start they get very large and painful. It's like a dull heavy pain.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Also would the combined pill help ease these symptoms?

  • Welcome to the forum Hdgeuh although I'm sorry about the lumps you've found.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will share their experiences with you soon but in the meantime I just wanted to wish you well with your doctor appointment and share some tips we have on how to get the most out of it.

Fingers crossed everything will be o.k but if you can, try not to consult Dr.Google as it may make any worries or anxiety you have about this worse.

    Kind regards,
